Landowners come together to learn more about affordable housing.

Landowners seminarLandowners and agents came to Sparsholt College in March for a breakfast seminar to learn more about the work of HARAH and how much needed affordable homes can be delivered in Hampshire villages.

After enjoying a breakfast roll, landowners and agents heard from HARAH representatives about the importance of providing new homes in rural areas to help communities thrive and to maintain services such as local schools and shops. Participants heard how HARAH can support landowners through all stages of the process.

landowners seminar 2Participants also heard from tax and planning experts on the technical side of developing land. The final presentation then detailed how new homes are allocated, and explained the strong existing local connection new residents have to have with the community in order to be housed.

Feedback from the event was very positive, with participants reporting they found the event useful and relevant and that they now know more about affordable housing and HARAH.
